Approximately 350 sq.ft of existing 13yr old redback 8x8 ceramic tile, installed over duroc, which I am assuming was screwed and glued down.

What I am trying to decide is what is the best way to go about this. Duroc never comes off easy, just screwed on properly, let alone liquid nailed or glued down as well. Plywood subfloor damage is easily possible trying to get under duroc and pry off pieces at a time. Chipping hammer obviously not the way to go.

most of my floor removals over the last 15 yrs are tile on mono slab, not 14yr old tile over duroc screwed to wood subfloor.

any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

The ripping bar that roofers use would work well to lift up the durock and tile all at once. You'll have to get all the screws out afterwards, but the long handle on the roof ripper gives you plenty of leverage to pull the durock away from the screws.
