Hello all, just wanted to say that this forum is a life saver.

I am getting ready to do a steam shower in a high end home, no jokes about indoor plumbing please:) and have read the previous posts. What do you guys use to seal around the pipes and is that somthing to leave to the plumber.

Thanks,
Tony Sartor

Hi Tony, welcome. The plumber should do it but most of the time they don't. Use 100% silicone to seal around the pipes.

Welcome aboard, Tony. :)

Seal around which pipes? There needs to be some space around the shower valve, for example.

Thanks for moving my thread :(

The shower has 7 water outlets for various shower heads, 2 valves, the water pipe for the steam generator, and box for the steam generator control.

The GC neglected to mention the steam option when I bid the job and a change order is in the works, just wanted to know what product to use and if I should include a service call to seal arround the shower heads and valves when the plumber is done. 100% silicone soundes right, anybody use Geocell?
