View Full Version : Tile Shower Pan

Hello- We are putting in a new tile shower in the master bathroom. We removed the the cast iron tub and now hired a tile man to construct a shower for us. The tile guy has just completed building the shower and has laid the tiles down on the shower pan. I noticed that there is not a slope in the pan, but a wave in the pan, with an increase going up to the drain. Is this normal or is this wrong. Can someone please tell me, before he completes the project? thank you. I don't want issues in the future.

It's wrong. It should be a consistent slope at a minimum of 1/4"/ft. from the furthest point away from the drain.

You didn't happen to take progress photos of the shower construction, did you?

What was the waterproofing used for this shower?

Photos of the work would probably help. And what part of the world are you located in. :)
