I'm 50/50 on this one too, but the problem is, you don't know if it's a teenager with a spraypainted water pistol, or a 2 time offender looking at life in prison if he gets cought again. There certainly isn't any time to figure out which one it is!

I knOw one thing though, if someone tries to rob me with a dirty needle, I shoot to kill!! Even if it scratches you, that could be a death sentence, no matter what you do! There isn't a jury in the world that would convict you in that case!

I'd know, I was on jury duty once where that was the case, the store owner shot a robber for holding him up at the point of a dirty needle... Delegations took 5 minutes, not guilty!

During that video Ted himself jokingly said he was "evil." I was joking, too. You had to be there.

this happened about 20 minutes from where we are. I personally think the reason the story became so big, was because we JUST passed the concealed carry law. someone was just trying to prove why we did it!

they are there to get money, not shoot people unless someone trys to stop them.

you alter their motive from grab & go into fighting to get away.

hopefully one of the members that are/were police officers will comment.

Cooperate with the robber for your own safety and the safety of others. Comply with a robber's demands. Remain calm and think clearly. Make mental notes of the robber's physical description and other observations important to law enforcement officers.

the police also say dont attempt.
Funny that the police dont let too many bad guys hold them at gun point.....hmmm

I don't think I'd want Joe Schmoe pulling out a gun and start shooting. Some trigger happy idiot could start blasting and once the first bullet is shot, who knows how many more will follow...
I'd rather be accadentaly shot by a good guy trying to help me than willingly let a scumbag kill me.

You need to understand that the majority of these clowns are druggies looking for money for their next fix.
Sounds like people I dont trust with my life.....never put faith in a junkie.

Play stupid games win stupid prizes.

I work hard for the things I have and dont take kindly to people helping themselves to the fruits of my labor. I would snuff someones flame for stealing the empty gas can from my garage, It's mine..MINE

I caught two low-lifes trying to steal my van a couple years ago, I ran out of the house with a pistol and a flashlight and chased them off (could'nt catch them they were lean) they left me with their hammer and screwdriver. When the police showed up and heard my story the cop asked why I didnt shoot them, I told him that they had their backs to me the entire time.........he pointed at the hammer and screwdriver and said "looks like they had weapons to me".....He goes on to tell me that I should've ventilated them on sight, in the back or not. So the repairs cost me 1K, and if those losers do that to 3 people a week think of the damages they cost the community......should've plugged them!

Brian, will you please visit the FAQ section in the dark blue bar near the top of the page and find the brief tutorial on how to properly attribute quotes you post here on the site. Folks shouldn't hafta conduct a search to determine who it is you're quoting, eh?

Very simple once you see it.
