OK guys, time to rachet it back a little OK?

WOW some of these niches are truly stunning works of art. Thanks for sharing.

But.........

When starting this thread my goal was to show the DIYer many different ways to design and install their niches. We get so many questions on the forum, so a display of options can be a huge help. Very few of those DIYers have questions about 6 foot tall niches involving 40 types of tiles, with curved backs and arched tops. We don't want to set the bar too high or make them feel inadequate that their little shower project is too plain, or worse yet - once she has seen what can be done - get the missus going off in a new direction after tile has already hit the walls.

Posting pics of your stunning work is nice, but come on now, think of our fellow man slaves husbands out there who have to finish their own bathroom projects sometime before the end of the century and still look decent.

Regular, nuttin fancy pictures are still accepted here.

I think this can be useful information for the visitors, Paul, but this isn't the right venue. In a while I think we'll wanna shed most of the chatter and move it to the Liberry. Folks won't be able to make additions there, but it'll be easier to find, I think. Hafta ponder that some.

Oh, boo on that Paul. Plain old square box niche's are so boring. Ok, forget the niche for just holding shampoo bottles. Lets make it hold something really useful like this.

Yeah, you would, Daniel. There's no beer box in that shower.

I've been tracking this thread and just want to say it's all just so very beautiful. No, not talking about the beer.

Thanks,
Ceci

Hello, Mr. Kelly. Not sure if you remember me, but I am one of those visitors that you speak of. I think it's in a great venue since when one does a search on this site for "niches" the thread comes up second on the list of results so real easy to find. I for some reason, would think many visitors, eventually forget about the library and stick to the search box. I also would think visitors would like to see additional pics. and as you said, moving it to the library would make it difficult to add anymore. Lastly, the guys are having fun showing their beautiful work so why throw ice water over that. So, what positive outcomes does one get by moving it to the library? I don't get it. Only my two cents. Yes, much more than two cents.

On a side note, still stubborn as usual?

Thanks for "hearing" me out,
Ceci

The thread would still be just as searchable in the Liberry.
