Famous Relations From The Past- Who's your claim to fame?
Mine is Danial Boone.
My father's side of the family descended from Danial Boon's daughter Sarah Boone.
Little know facts:
Before he started being a trail guide, helping groups of people get across the mountains into California- he used to rob them. He switched to helping them when he realized there was a lot more money to be made by helping rather than robbing!
He even charged extra by guaranteeing protection from the feared bandits known for robbing those on the trail. He was known for his ability to cross thru the mountains without a single confrontation with the bandits. No one ever figured out that he was the bandit everyone feared.

Daniel Boone, eh? Got a Daniel Boone up the tree a little bit. Not far enough to be that Daniel Boone. I am in Ky, so I do have a chance of the branches mixing a little.
Had a great, great, great, great grandfather that rode with Morgan's Raiders during the civil war. His claim to fame is that they robbed a bank of $60k dollars in Union territory for the Confederacy. After the war he and a few other of Morgan's men were arrested and tried for the robbery. They were found not guilty, it was an act of war.
My second Mom is a descendant of John Patrick Henry. Guess that means more to my Brother than me.

well on my mothers side I've got my bunch-o-great uncles and grandfather- group of 3 brothers- who caused the great market "scare" of 1907 that crashed the whole banking system. Heinze was their last name.

Related to Roush Racing family obviously...my dad is a distant cousin.
When I was a kid no one knew how to pronounce Roush.
This year is the 300th Family reunion in this country, or in North America I should say.
Two of the seven brothers of the first Roush were at Yorktown witnessed the surrender..yadayada
