How to remove grout stain from marble tile

I just had a tile shower installed. The border is made of small glass and Emperador Dark honed Marble tiles. The installer used unsanded grout (coffee color) to prevent the glass tiles from being scratched. The problem is that the grout is so dark it stained the marble stone tiles in the border. The installer found out that he should have used a sealant before grouting. Too late! Is there anything we can use on the marble tiles to take them back to their natural color? Someone please help!

Welcome Paula.

I moved your question to the Cleaning, Restoration and Sealing board where it will get attention from our experts in this area. Someone will be along soon to answer your question.

Eeeuw that's a toughy. There may be a chance it needs to be just dried out.I would try cleaning with a neutral stone cleaner and let dry and see what you've got.

The marble can be honed to remove the stains if they are just on the surface. This will probably take off about 90 percent or more of the stains.
