Need Help with Droid Phone

OK, I have to give my phone up in the bidness to someone who lost their phone (has to do with the two year replacement rule with Verizon or something.)...anyway, since I get the new phone Wiley said I should consider a Droid so I can maybe capture client info, easier net access, etc. I said yes and then he said, "which one?"

I have to use Verizon, thus the Droid. I don't use my phone online much but would like to store client info and use for appt scheduling. Any ideas which one might be best?

Marge - I've played around wit the Motorola Droid and the HTC Incredible. The Incredible is hands-down the one to get. Touch screen is very responsive, similar to an iPhone/iPod Touch. Web browsing with the Incredible is excellent. My plan isn't up until August otherwise I'd have one today!

The only problem is that when the two of you recommend something I need to take a training class.

Marge, be aware that with a Verizon smart phone you must purchase the monthly data package, whether you use the internet much or not. It runs thirty bucks a month.

too make things more confusing, Motorola and HTC use the Android operating system in their phones now. Some people might get mixed up when talking about the "Droid" and "Android".

HTC Incredible is indeed a fantastic phone. And will get even better with Android 2.2 update. Preliminary benchmarks show 2x improvement!

Joe, Motorola has two more Android phones coming on Verizon soon. I think you will have some tough choices to make.

Marge, Verizon is offering free Android training sessions, but it looks like they are all around DC. Want to visit the Nation's Capital?

So what did you end up getting Marge?

I got a flyer in the mail today for special private sale - I can update early if I want! Now I have to decide whether or not to jump to the Incredible this month or wait for something better. Decisions decisions.

No decision yet. Wiley used another phone in our bidness to replace the employee phone. So I am on hold for awhile. You get the Incredible and I'll wait for something better.

yeah, Joe, go ahead and bite. Sounds like they've got a surplus of phones they need to dump before the Verizon iPhone hits the street.
