Sealed grout "dissolved".."scratached" out with regular cleaning?

OK, so we sealed the newly installed grout and it's been about a month. My client said she dripped some "food oil" onto the floor and scrubbed the grout with normal soap and water and the grout "disappeared" or "sunk" down... We sealed it...surely it isn't just dissolving away? What could have made this happen? It obviously didn't crack or chip out... A pic is attached below.

It sure looks like it sunk, but usually that happens before it gets set.Hrd to believe it was sratched out that bad, and the other grout is solid,or have you tested it anywhere else. She didn't use a wire brush did she?
