ProVa-Flex Anyone heard of this ?

I was putting some Kerdi curbs on Ebay so I thought I would check the going rate and ran across this. He is making some strong claims.

Anyone know him or heard of proVa-flex?

I found one mention of it in a thread from '07

Ebay - proVa-flex

His blog

Boycott Schluter? I don't think so.

Stuff just started to surface up here in the great white north.
They have copied Schluter's Kerdi, Tray and drain. They currently only have the 48" shower system and no curb. It's selling for half the price of Schluter.

Here's a link to the product http://www.loxcreenflooring.com/clie...rovashower.pdf

I haven't seen the actual product yet so can't say much about it.

Boy, if they hadn't changed the color of the stuff, I couldn't tell it wasn't Schluter on that site that Randall posted.

Or maybe it's just my monitor?

But I predict they'll never make it. Their "actor" inna pichers ain't near as cute as Hollywood Bouchard inna Schluter videos.

When I first saw the promotional (empty) box they sent to one of my venders, I thought they had copied the media right from Schluter.
Vender is supposed to get some samples of the product shortly.

Probably made in China

As with other "knock-off" operations, they have no back-up, nobody in the field, no R&D and no knowledge of the tile business. All successful companies/products face this threat. I'm not sure, but I think Schluter is taking this one to court, though.

Looks like there's at least some differences between Kerdi & this stuff. Doesn't sound like they're as confident with the seam laps.... at least.... or maybe they just don't know.......
