Anybody ordered anything from the guys at Tile Experts in the past week or so? I placed an order last Friday, got the email with tracking number and all. Now six days later it's still at the first stage, doesn't even show that it's been picked up yet.

I was wondering if Fed Ex was having some trouble up that way, or if there's been a run on the drains, or some other explanation. Kinda needing that drain asap.

That is unusual. My advice - call them!

Kevin, I can't say for sure what your problem might be, but just yesterday we (Tile Experts & moi) were discussing some pretty substantial difficulties apparently with FedEx on deliveries of our StoneTech products.

Not at all sure just what's going on there, but I'd suggest you call Tile Experts.com right away if there is any question about a shipment.

Definitely call them. Don't stew on it.

I don't know if it's related, but I've heard that some of the shipping companies are indicating that the G20 meetings are causing shipping delays. I'm not sure what their reasoning is. There might be some extra security in place that is slowing things down.

I saw that on the email I got from FedEx.

I ordered a drain and some Kerdi. The first time I checked the tracking numbers on Saturday, it said the delivery was expected on Wednesday. Since then, the expected delivery date has been removed.

I called a couple of times today and left a message, but nothing since. It's no big deal, I can go to one of the local suppliers and get what I need, I just hate to do that if my stuff will get here tomorrow.

I ordered some tilespikes from them a while back and the same thing happened. I emailed them to see what was up and they gave them to me for free! Course it was a stocking issue on their end, not the shipping company-

I ordered a few kerdi pvc drains... got the same issue.
I emailed and Dave got right back to me. They are waiting on a schluter delivery that they should have had by now. He did find me one drain I need today and will be getting that right out to me.

Hi Steve,

We had a run on all PVC drains last week. Normally this would not be a problem, except for the fact we haven't received our Schluter order yet. It was due in on Friday and there's still no sign of it.

With what stock we did have, we filled the orders farthest away (CA, TX, AZ and WA states) because of the extended shipping time to these states. You're only one day shipping time away from our Bayonne, NJ location, so once we get them in, you'll have them within a day.

In the meantime, we've been buying up stock from other distributors (some are in the same position as we are) and filling as many orders as possible. I'm headed to Philly to pick up Kerdi and other things, while being on the look-out for more drains.

We apologize for the delay in getting these to you.

David Taylor

I placed my 1st order with them on Oct 1 and am having the same problem. Half of the order shipped right away and the other half shows at the beginning stages on the tracking page. I left a message on 10/16 and again on 10/19, but haven't received a callback. I've got more stuff to order, but I'm a little nervous now. I'll try emailing them.

Tile Experts is having a problem re-supplying. It has to do with a new policy Schluter has instituted. We are working on the problem now and hope to have things running smoothly shortly. We thank you, and Tile Experts thanks you, for your patience.

Wow, I emailed them and they called back 5 minutes later and they told me it had shipped out two days ago and that I should receive it today. I checked my porch and lo and behold, my order was there! My faith has been restored rather quickly. Everyone here was right about them being a good company to deal with. Now onto my next order...

I'm waiting for my order, too, but I've got a tracking number, and it's not late. Glad yours was on time.

When they used to drop ship from new york it was great I would order and my order would be at my house the next day always since newyorks so close to me. Now no point to using them.
