Glass mosaic one step method

Normally when we install glass tile or mosaic we use Laticretes 254 platinum to install the tile and then come back the next day to grout and clean joints.
Had been hearing alot about the "one step method" for a while now and i saw Gueuese's "You Tube" videos on it , so i had this 50 sq ft wall to do in a 1/2 bath and figured this was the perfect time to try it out and "wow" was i happy with the results-- a little messy but worth it, saved me about a half days work.Got a 5 gallon bucket of Laticretes 4237 and some 25lb bags of Laticrete bright white 1500 grout, (the 4237 is some seriously stickey stuff)
Did a little mock up a few days before hand just to test it out to make sure everything would be fine and

Heres some photos of the install,

4237- Yogurt. Yummmmmm.

Looks great. And no time cleaning joints from thinset bleed thru, unless you consider that it's ALL thinset bleed thru. ??

awsome

I'll never set glass mosaics any other way again

genius move

it can be such a hassle picking the thinny out of the joints like a monkey
diggin bugs of his buddy's head . . . not that there is anything wrong with that

It just makes using other colors than white and gray so much more viable . . .

latircrete kudos

can you use the stuff and use 1600 unsanded laticrete grout instead as your thinset powder?

Rick- it looks like just the sanded grout is spec'ed in the Laticeret Tech data sheet #145.

http://www.laticrete.com/portals/0/tds/tds145.pdf

EDIT- Mike- shower friendly, tough as nails, not fingernails.
