I don't think so Dan.I think removing layers of gold off him will only weaken him in voters eyes and bring him down.

Today they argue if the whole thing comes down if the mandate is rejected.

I worry that if they sit around thinking about this for 3 months they might go with it.

It's up for grabs, and they will sit around thinking about it for months.

I agree with Dave, this is his legacy. If he fails, it's going to hurt his reelection campaign.

The court hasnt decided yet so we can only presume so much but even so everything around Obamacare just seems to get more and more sour. What does Obama get if by chance the court upholds it? A chance to go out and hump for one of the most unpopular programs in the country? How zippy is that?

Found it interesting that Mister Constitutional Law himself had some strong words for the 'unelected' Supreme Court, telling them that they shouldn't dare overturn a law that is constitutional.

Lets recap "Mr. Constitution". My sister, tonight, sent me a forward concerning the upholding of the 2nd amendment. Being that it's one of my favorite political subjects, I sent her back the following email, and then thought it a good idea to copy and paste it here. it's definitely reading that would cause concern in anyone's mind, especially being that it's all documented:

Several things to remember. First, the 2nd amendment does NOT give us the right to keep and bear arms. IT ENSURES THAT THE GOVERNMENT WON'T INTERFERE IN A GOD GIVEN RIGHT THAT WE ALREADY HAD.

Secondly-- Obama has already shown his disdain and contempt for a document he swore to protect and defend. His latest being the dissolution of the 1st amendment.

http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local...143105086.html

Now, keep in mind that without the 2nd amendment, the rest of the Bill of Rights doesn't stand a chance. Next, remember that during his first term campaign, Obama came out strong in favor of gun control, promising all kinds of new laws that would for all intents and purposes, put a stop to private ownership of firearms. That is, until he realized that he was alienating his own constituents, at which time, he stopped. Now, keeping that in mind, also keep in mind that this is his second term he's running for, which means that as the Constitution and its amendments stand (right now), he can't be elected again after this term, which means he has nothing to lose by doing whatever he wants. Considering what he's done already toward dismantling the Bill of Rights, as documented by the links below, doesn't that scare you just a little bit? Linda, if you never forward another email, forward this one. it's completely documented by myself and others, so there's no way anyone can debate it. Here are the links detailing the rest of his hijinks:

"The latest example occurred on Dec. 31, when President Obama signed into law the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act... one section, introduced by Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., bypasses the FBI and other domestic police agencies, and authorizes the U.S. military to detain any person who commits "a belligerent act" at home or abroad, against the U.S. or its allies, and retain that person "without trial until the end of hostilities." Which, as we've seen, could be a long, long time."
http://fredericksburg.com/News/FLS/2...1192012/677418

"CBS News‘ Scott Pelley appears to be one of the very few American journalists bothered by, or even interested in, the fact that President Obama has asserted and exercised the power to target U.S. citizens for execution-by-CIA without a shred of due process and far from any battlefield."
http://www.salon.com/2012/01/30/leon...tarian_decree/

"He [Obama] then admiringly observed:

…Of course, some countries don’t have this problem. If the central government wants a railroad, they build a railroad, no matter how many homes get bulldozed. If they don’t want a bad story in the newspaper, it doesn’t get written."
http://5440fight.com/2012/01/07/obam...-constitution/

Last but not least, this one specifically on the 2nd amendment:
'"I just want you to know that we are working on [gun control]. We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar,” President Obama told Sarah Brady, the former president of the Brady Campaign, this past spring. '

He just don't agree with the whole Separation of Powers thingy...
If handed another term he may just make the Supreme Court irrelevant..
and do away with it... Pesky Court - who in the hell do they think they are anyway?
