Are the real Phillies suppose to have bell peppers or just the onions. I've had them both ways over here. I like them both but I really like the bell pepper ones.

Well Chad, you're supposed to have it any way you like it but the traditional way is "wit", which means wit onions.

The Best Hoagie
While we're on the subject, I feel the hoagie must also get some time here. Cheesesteaks and hoagies (subs, torpedo's, ) go hand in hand in Philly. The best hoagie is found in Atlantic City at the White House, which has served every celebrity that has ever performed in AC including the Beatles.
They also make, in my opinion, the best cheesesteak in the world. Once again, its the rolls that make the difference. These Atlantic City rolls are actually white and hard on the outside and doughy on the inside. They are simply amazing!!

Rick
that roll is called the Saracones (pronounced- Sarah-cone-eys)roll its the best roll around only a couple places have it, its a ton of carbs though. White house is good when my sis and her husband started dating they used to bring the hoagies back from ac all the time.
The secret to our bread is the scummy nasty disgusting water from the Delaware river thats used to make this wonderful rolls.
jims steaks will ups one right to your house

Well, if one is dieting, a steak sandwich is the last thing we want to be eating anyway.

Good posting Rick, I forgot all about Silvios in Hatboro on that list. Your right about the roll making the sandwich, I thought most of those places used Amorosos ( hope I spelled that right this time ) I stand corrected. I'm 75 miles out of Philly and can't get a good sandwich, the rolls suck around here.

Jason- the ribs will be gone tonight- sorry.
As for a steak sandwich, Morrette's on Erie Blvd. in Schenectady has been at it for 50 years or so. They're pretty good, but I've never been to Philly so don't any of you purists put out a Cheesesteak fatwa out on me for blasphemy or something...
How's your schedule monday or tuesday???

Who cares? It looks very tasty.
So, should we start a cheesecake thread?
