Can I lighten grout while it is setting?

I just applied new grout to the shower walls and it is much darker than I wanted. Even if it dries lighter it will still be too dark (I already sealed it as well!) Is there anything I can do to lighten it? Should I wait until it is cured or do it asap? Thanks.

How did you seal it if you just applied it?
