Will grout color lighten?

Tiled my small bathroom today. Turned out pretty good, considering being a novice and walls out of square. Wanted to test grout, Polyblend Sandstone.
So I just grouted one tile under vanity. Its darker than I would like. Dry grout out of bag is much lighter. How long does it take before you see final color? I have read on here that the color of the grout before mixed is pretty close to color it will dry to.

Hi MaryAnn,

Yes for cement grout, it will lighten pretty close to the dry colored powder. It will depend on how much water was added to it in mixing and sponging and air temp and humidity. Typically a day or two.

hope this helps,

Yep, doesn't take long for the moisture to leave and return to its real color.
