harley davidson mosaic

I just wanted to post a quick pic of the Harley Davidson mosaic that I have just finished installing. The letters are Metalic Signatures that I cut out with my dewalt wet saw and the background is absolute black granite and of coarse the orange tile is just ceramic tile. I have a bit more work to do to the sheild but the overall turn-out was better than I expected.
thanks

I thought about the sopyright thing myself but I called around and from what they told me it was O.K. it's in a home in the bar area. I did a dark tile on the floor with black granite in lays and all of the stairs are the dark red tile with black granite risers. it looks pretty sweet. it was actually a fun job for once.

No I used a white thin set because thats what the glass tiles that are around the rest of the backsplash called for. Is that wrong to set a mosaic like that with thin set. I used tec which I feel is a good brand.

thanks

This was the first water jet Bar and Sheild logo we did around 1990 using Crossville Ceramics.

Great work you guys!

I may be wrong on this, but if anyone along the chain financially benefits from reproducing a copywrited image, you need permission.

If nobody financially benefits from reproducing a copywrited image and you do it for yourself, you can do as you please.

That was a dealer in Kenosha, WI. The "R" is the little circle in the white field. You can't see it in the picture but around the Ukes is a 3/8" white outline followed by a black outline into the white field. That was the worse part of the job, getting it off the cardboard that it was packing taped to.

Josh,

Since this thread was started there are water jet services available to cut any pattern in any size you want. Like this one and this one

I'd be happy to do the install.
