how to remove silicone caulk goop from granite?

I need help - I would like to remove some clear silicone caulk blobs and fingerprints that remain on my granite vanity top after my contractor installed it yesterday. I have tried rubbing them with my thumb (works with acrylic caulk so thought I would give it a shot) and cleaning with a mild granite cleaner. Nothing has worked so far. I have not tried scraping with a razor yet as I don't know if this will harm the granite.

The granite is tropical brown (brown/black small flecks) and has not yet been sealed.

Thanks in advance for your help here!!

You could call the contractor back to clean their mess.......

or use a fresh razor blade on the top and it will be gone in no time.

thank you

Thanks for the advice, I will try the razor. As for the contractor, let's just say I am picking my battles.

yes its still going on

After 5 trips to the granite shop getting all the deatils down they come and install the granite in two baths and on one drop in sink used the silicone caulk gun to carefully bead the drop in, then OF COURSE wiped it with the finger leaving a slight but visible smear mark 1/4 inch wide.

The final installers: screwing up the product of what the salesman, slab movers, housemeasureres, and cutters have done

They should have wiped it with a finger covered with a cloth dipped in denatured acohol.
