My son in law works for the local animal control. He found one of those drones out in the middle of a pasture. One of the motors was broken off from cows stepping on it. I was amazed at how light they are. Of course he doesn't have the controller. Cool toy

You got a link to that toy, Shawn? I've always thought they'd be useful for certain things.

What's the ceiling on it?

500m above the ground from it was launched There are a million videos on you tube here is one of the many I have watched
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBaPcpddMZ8
and here is the link to buy it
https://www.amazon.com/DJI-Collapsib...ords=mavic+pro
This by far is the best deal out there right now. I started looking at these (drones in general) about a year ago. I couldn't justify $1500.00 for the purchase. I had a really good winter and my wife and I bought motorcycles in the spring. So we were watching a video on youtube and this guy was filming himself with his drone nobody flying it it was just following him around. So I started looking at them again and the tech has come a long way. After watching about 100 videos I got to thinking of all the things I could use it for. Here are few. My wife has never ridden so I put this thing up above and we can watch the videos so I can show her what she needs to work on. If a horse or a cow gets out I use the drone. Roof and gutter inspections. I am a area manager for a snow removal company and I can use this to take pictures of the properties when they are done or video of the guys plowing either for advertising and/or instruction. I also train working dogs dutch shepherds and belgian malinois mostly, we can use to get aerial footage of the the dogs doing bite work and tracking . I would like to hear any ideas that I am sure I have not thought of

Davy what brand was it? Will it even turn on? People are supposed to register your drone with the faa so there should be a sticker/number on it some where. Person that lost it might pay a reward for it back. I bought the insurance policy the will replace 2 before I have to buy a new one. So if I wrecked mine I would want it back

She's at " fishing camp " this week on lake Murray. Local recreation group and DNR are organizing. They give each of the kids a brand new rod and reel of their own. She's pretty thrilled about the whole thing. We're gonna head back to the beach soon and I hope to get her offshore a bit. We peeked out a couple times but I thought it was too rough for her and she'd never wanna go back.

Wonderful Greg, make sure she has access to that picture as she grows up. She'll treasure it.

Yeah, great picture of daughter. The dad looks a little scruffy around the edges, doesn't he?
