George Vanderbuilt ran out of money too, not from firewood though. He knew how to spend, imagine if they had credit cards back then, he probably wouldn't been a couple billion in the red

If I am correct that took 6 years to build, customers think we are asking too much when we want a "whole" week to do a project.

The Biltmore has approx. 35 bathrooms, at that time if you had one you were considered rich. Not talking about an outhouse either, talking about plumbing for a terlit. How many does one need?

Corporate oligarch. But I'll guess there is some cool tile work in it.

Received this in my email today, something about just sounds dirty, or is it me?

Actually I only saw some a the place but wasn't impressed with the tile work, not much to choose from back then. At the time it would be amazing to look at but now with all the colors, materials to choose from. What I saw is the same tile used over and over, maybe there is a lot I didn't see. Just the fact they had a John J. Crapper was big. I was more impressed with the vaulted ceilings and winder treatments and all the concrete forming. I need to go back and spend a lil more time there. I would like to see the other VandyBuilt Mansions too.

The tile work at Biltmore is quite basic but very well executed. The bathtubs and furniture, particularly the beds, are quite small. People were smaller back then.
