Using Quartz in a Niche

I'm trying to get the shower done and we've been debating the merits of using quartz for the bottom shelf of the niche. Just when we thought we had it, the idea of lining the bottom, top, and sides of the niche with 2cm quartz.

The question we can't resolve is do we grout the junction of the pieces or is there another way to close up the gap between the them?

The answer really will determine if there should be a space like a grout line between the pieces or if they should be butted together and then a line of silicon sealer put on the seams.

Any help will really be appreciated.

Hi Randy, Welcome aboard.

I would place narrow grout joints between the pieces of quartz and grout it like tile. I've never used quartz in a shower, though.
