Do I need to seal a granite vanity?

Hi guys:

I bought a pre-made granite vanity top from Expo for my kids' bath. Unfortunately, every time they use the sink, the water that inevitably ends up everywhere seems to leave a dark "stain" after a few moments on the vanity top Eventually, the water marks go away, but I'm wondering - does this mean I actually have to SEAL this granite top & backsplash?

And if so, how in the heck do I do that?? It's one big seamless 48" piece (except for the backsplash & side), with an undermount sink.

Thanks for any advice.

Cheryl

Hi Cheryl,

Log on at the store above and purchase the TYW penetrating sealer.

It will require maybe two applications. It is as simple as cleaning the counter, letting it dry and wiping the sealer on. Before it hazes wipe it in. Another application will be per the manufacturers instructions.

Good luck

What Steve said....
After sealing the counter, maintain it with the TYW Neutral cleaner.

Hi Cheryl, I just wanted to add that highly dyed soaps should be avoided. Michael of Stonehenge
