Cleaning over a colorant

a customer of mine wants me to clean their tile/grout that contains a colorant. Will cleaning it with a turbo type machine (high pressure & high heat) remove or harm it?

Hi T

Ceramic Tile?

Neutral Cleaner (maybe a little stronger dilution) and a 3M #86/#96 Green Scrub Pad. Extract. Final cleaning with a string mop and neutral cleaner at regular strength.

You do not want heat and water pressure over a colorant. Colorants are topical and MIGHT flake and peel under those conditions. You can always test, but I've seen it happen too many times.

This only applies if you want to maintain the integrity of the colorant. If it’s already flaking you need to remove it.
