Ya live in Florida Dave and according to Brian, ya can't play in the big one ...
Although, just in case you did ( Florida Lottery), send me a few thousand and I will vouch for you to the others that you did win..

Sorry Dave. Since it is more likely you'll be struck by lightning then winning the lottery and the fact that your still here to say you won the lottery, well.........hard sell
But like Colin said, send a few thousand ( or 1/2%) I will swear to all U did win.

Tracy, with a 1 in 175,711,536 chance of picking the winning numbers, your odds of being hit by lighting are 50 times better than picking the winning numbers.

I'd rather get hit by lightning, I'd still know who my friends were over the millions a new ones and new ponzi schemes available

I was just thinking of what those odds are really like - in a real world. Here's what I came up with, assuming a typical $1 lotto ticket was 3"x2".
If you laid each ticket for every combination of lotto numbers on a football field side-to-side end-to-end so that they blanketed the field, would you shell out $10 for 10 chances to find the winning ticket?
Sounds like pretty far odds to find the ticket in all that. But now for the reality check . . . To find the one winning ticket you'd have to search 126 of those football fields covered just the same.
Just like the WOPR said it, the best choice is not to play.

With 175,711,536 combinations, if it took you 5 secs to fill in a card and you went non-stop, it would take more than 27 years to make cards for every possible winning ticket.
What's even more astonishing is that an estimated 1.5 Billion was spent chasing the dream?
Why do people do it despite the odds? Because somebody does win and the lottery corp does ALL they can to let everybody know to fuel the hopes of the next draw.

As they say in the Lotto commercials, you can't win if you don't play.

I like this analogy for the lottery.
Take a 20 ft. string stretch it out into a forty foot circle.Throw a grain of sand into the circle, now blindfold yourself stand outside the circle and try to hit that grain of sand with another grain of sand.
For the Mega they say you have a better chance of being sfruck by lightning 500 times.
As said, can't win if you don't enter.
