Trying to fix tile around shower drain

Hi everyone, newbie here trying to fix some tiles around my shower drain. I tried to search around on the site for help but havenít quite found the right match. We had a couple of tiles where the grout seemed to have washed away and the tile looked ďlooseĒ. The shower is about 5 years old and we arenít really worried about leaks but wanted to fix the tiles. We managed to lift some of the tiles last weekend and let the floor under them dry out all week. Now we are trying to figure out if we can just put some thinset down, put the old tiles back and re grout or if we have any other steps we would need to do before tiling. Any advice would be appreciated.

Iím including a couple of photos. One was what the tiles looked like right before we pulled them up and the other is after we removed a few of the tiles around the drain.

It wont be addressing the reason for the tiles coming loose, but yes you can let the area dry and then use thinset to install the tile. Put a fan in there to speed up the drying of what looks like a traditional mud pan. As long as there arent any other issues you should be fine with that approach. Loose tile is usually an indicator of other problems though.
