That is awesome. Don't have a picture cause it happened so fast but few years ago kid is up on flatbed power washing the spreader. I tell them all clean it like I was selling it. We run the spreaders when we clean them and got a lil to close the to the drag chain with the wand, slipped and you can imagine the rest

Oh I can imagine! Lol
I'm out for my 14th night out of 15. My sleep schedule is pretty much screwed. Had a tile project that needed to be turned over today so I've been pulling double duty for almost 2 weeks.
Christmas eve-out. Christmas day-out. My birthday-out. New Years eve-out. New Years Day-out.
These sub zero temps are not helping at all. I've lost track of the # of tons of salt we have gone through. Just yesterday we dropped 20ton on one property in a 24 hour period. It's a 5acre lot. That's a lot of salt. Zero tolerance for ice.

It is a love hate relationship isn't? Down here we pray for it. a good year is 200+ hours the last couple have been around 110. We can get 50 or so out of a 2in storm plowing, salting and refreezes. Got maybe 35 so far this year went out last night for 4 and back out tonight probably about the same. Wednesday and Thursday are looking promising for some more salting. But the week after is going to be in the 50's

You are right, it is a love hate relationship. You want it, but on your terms. Unfortunately,it doesn't snow Mon-Fri 9-5.

Everything needs a break right now though, the guys and the equipment. Luckily the temps are starting to get out of the single digits and the winds are calmed down. Wednesday looks like high of 40.

Lots of snow removal and relocation in the next few days.

I need your salt trucks Shawn!
There were 2 salt truck drivers and a loader operator that had over 100 hours last week.

Every year we have a bet on the number of shopping carts that get caught up in the pile. People have a bad habit of leaving carts near the piles in the front of the store and they get covered. Loader doesn't see them and they get caught up in the push. Closest to the number without going over wins. I was in second place with 7 last year.

Ok, explain this Friday forecast....high of 54 and a low of 15 later in the evening. 1/4" of rain in the am, a foot of snow in the evening. WTF!!?? That is one serious cold front.
Shawn, start heading my way. We have a fun weekend coming!

We got our own something or another coming. If we get snow or are loading salt during the day I will have some drone footage for sure. I got it out the other night at one of my depots and it was too dark and I didn't have my truck with the light bar so the picture were just of the skid nothing cool

In for a little maintenance. New cutting edge, tighten a few bolts and a top off of the DEF fluid.
