Need advice on this fireplace please.

It is an eye sore and I am going to replace the tiles. It also bothers me that it is off angled but any other options to make this as less of an eye sore from off angled etc.. There isn't much room at all to decrease the angle since there is a window to the right. Maybe go light color tile 12x24 horizontal so it won't be a focal spot if I went with darker tiles. Thoughts?

Do you use it to heat the room? Looks like it might be an addition or closed in patio.

Appears to be a zero clearance fireplace, if not used for heating and you don't like the way it looks, would not be too difficult to remove.

No I don't use it. I'm in Florida and it was an addition room. It's a rental property now. I just think it's time to do something about it since the tiles are an eye sore. I feel if I remove it then I have do deal with the roof and what sticks out above it. $$$?

Some of them vent to sidewall rather than roof. Even roof exit isn't all that big a repair assuming shingles. You'd also have some expense on drywall, trim, carpet and paint.

A rental? I used to have rentals and unless people were shying away or I needed some tax deductions, I'd leave it. But that's me.

Good point, the carpet will be all gone so I'll replace it with vinyl wood floor. Maybe I can hold off another year or two before touching it. It's been neglected as u can see compared to the rest of the house.
