I got no issues with being followed by a camera crew. Just don't catch me when I have the windows down, singing Ricky Martin's "Livin La Vida Loca" while I'm plowing.

Question

Typing on my phone so this will be in short version Went out for a little ice event wound up being a 22 hour affair. How, you say? Well I will tell you. Put salters on alert yep they are ready to go.first round went off without a hitch. More ice than expected you wanna call the plows? Nope I think we're good. Ok. Hey it is pretty slushy how bout them plows. No not yet. Ok... oh shit call your plows. Not one of the routed or back up plows were available all at work or doing something else. Awesome. Even my sister who runs a skid for me was like hell I did all my chores and farted around and didn't hear from you and I am tied up right now. Completely dropped the ball. No the it was supposed to be a salt only event and the wind blew and turned it in a disaster so.. I went over to help another area manager and salt for him on a couple. This is what I rolled up to.

That's gotta be frustrating as hell.
I would be scared to see what would go on if you had more than 4" drop from the sky. Complete chaos.

Lmao. So I never post the good shit. This is one guy who I think was driving for another guy that had to work. My zone minus the Jack ass is solid, they all know what I expect and if they do it wrong they are going back to fix it. Or if it keeps happening that on smaller events (yes I know how that sounds considering we haven't got more than 2 inches) I mean like refreeze or quick in and out that I will not call them out to play. Based on your pictures I think I would fit in quite nice up there some of these guys not so much obviously. The office takes the warm body approach. They get nervous that a property won't get serviced in a timely fashion. I look at it like this if you ordered food at a restaurant and it was wrong it wouldn't matter if it was there in 2 mins it is still wrong. They think of this guy is like a appetizer he will hold you over till the main course gets there.which I think is retarded but I am just a cog in the machine. They is a reason I don't have helper cause I fire the stupid ones. I never understood the concept of paying someone to do something twice. When I was a helper my boss would tell me if I have to continually fix the things you do what am I paying you for? I should have just done it myself. That is how I was taught so that is how I teach. Is that the wrong attitude to have?

I like the appetizer analogy.
We don't go that route with the company I work for. I have seen guys fired in the middle of an event. You are getting paid to do a job, do it or the next guy will.

Yeah, you would fit in up here. You would be pretty surprised how fast we get the event cleared and salted. No 20-30 hour stuff for a inch of dandruff.
