need help loading pics

Hey guys we got a new camera "digital" a decent one. I am having trouble loading my pics.
When loaded it will abort me and say my bytes are to big. 30720 minimum. The bytes we show we are loading are under that.
Can someone give me a short lesson on getting my pics in.
They are jpeg formated.
Sorry for turning this into p/c forum, but you all seem to have down. You guys do do a hell of job.

Don't worry, Scott, we'll put you into the 'puter forum.

You need to resize those jumbo puppies. Try downloading the program you need from www.irfanview.com. Then you can resize your photos, save the reduced size and upload 'em here. I like to keep the original photos and delete the resized version.

Scott,

As Cami says, keep the orignal. When you re-size a photo, do a "save as" and then rename it. Don't replace your original with it.

I installed an extra hard drive in my box just to store pictures on. I keep everything, even the screwups.

I'm the same way John, I just can't press the delete button.
Scott said his pictures are less than 30k bytes though. If you look at them in windows explorer, what size do it say?

Hey davem
I was able get one in there with 15 KB but the one I was so hard trying was 70 kb. I must say the 15 kb is way to small. I'll keep playing thought. I'll work my way up . My pic is in the dolphin post.

Hi Scott,
Check this thread: http://johnbridge.com/vbulletin/show...2996#post72996 , Cami posted some actual numbers for reducing pics. You need to get the kbytes to 30 or less and they will post. Or if you have your own webspace, upload bigger ones and link them here.

Yeah, Scott:

I need to know too!! Why did you tile a marlin?? Annabelle tiled a dolphin to donate for sale---a worthy and noble endeavor.

What's your excuse??
