Log Outs

Using FireFox as my browser, I suddenly (past week?) find that I'm being logged out of this site frequently without my knowledge or consent.

Is that something the site is doing, or something my browser is doing, or something my computer is doing and just how would I determine which it is?

Check preferences. Under Privacy, see if "Clear History when Firefox closes" is checked. I noticed that my history was being wiped after I updated a while back.

Not checked, Jerry, and I never close Firefox anyway, so that wouldn't likely have anything to do with what I'm seeing.

It seems to me that there was a Firefox update in the last couple of weeks.

You might check your security settings (button in far upper right corner) and see if there's anything goofy in there.

Otherwise it's probably DaveM trying to tell you something.

I axed the question here just to see if that might be the case, Jim.

I did not the security changes on FireFox recently. Were a bit of a hassle for a while, seemed like, but working fine now. I've looked at everything I can think of for this log-out problem, but seems I'm rarely able to diagnose this sorta thing by my ownself. Fortunately, it's not all that difficult to live with.
