future is now??

Saw this little tidbit:

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-1...measures-hamme

Knew that the quality of public education was on a down slope, but really now.

although, years ago I hired a kid who was baffled when I called out a measurement in a quarter inch. He knew what a half inch was, but I had to teach him the rest of the divisions. He was a HS drop out though, and a little slow on the uptake in other areas too. But then, stoneworkers need a couple of the big, strong, dumb ones around = good help.

This is GREAT NEWS !!

I'll have a job as long as I want

There is absolutely ZERO chance I will get pushed out by someone younger.

Home Depot spent a total of 4 seconds on the fractions of an inch. The rest of the 1 minute video is pointing out "the case" and "the belt clip".

What's the most important part of a learning a tape measure? Reading the fractions or drawing a circle? And they wonder why millenials don't know these things.

Millennials get a bad break. What kind of opinion do you think the WWII generation had of the sex, drugs, and rock & roll generation?
