Dallas Area (Plano) Tiler Needed

I have a friend in Plano who has a second floor shower that is leaking. They noticed a small water stain on the ceiling below and called out a plumber. The plumber cut a small hole in the ceiling to check for leaks and could find anything. Their initial thought was it might be a roof leak and water was getting down the walls and to check for water the next time it rained. After some trial and error, they discovered that it seems to happen when water hits a crack toward the floor (not on the floor). Sounds like a shower pan issue to me.

Anyway, just looking for someone in the area that can help her. Thanks!

Hi Jason. Did the plumber plug the drain and fill the shower? It's best to use water from somewhere other than the shower head. Even a few gallons poured into the shower might be enough to get it to leak below if it's the pan leaking. I would avoid pouring water in a crack that's on the wall. That water might be getting behind the pan and not testing the pan at all. If it leaks below from pouring water on the shower floor, it's the pan.

Have him call me and we can talk about it. 972-841-6190
