okay I was a little off. For epoxy and tile vapor / osmotic pressure can cause failure. In epoxy its the pressure its self that will cause a delamination. For Tile its not the pressure but the change in alkalinity from the increase in moisture /
condensation of the vapor.

Good articles/links..Ive been trying to teach students for years that it is osmotic pressure that is the problem and not hydrostatic pressure.
