First time mixing up thinset from the bag. The last time I used premixed. Any general rule for working time for modified thinset? I'm having a tough time estimating how much water to start with for...

Thanks; I assumed so but was hoping to get away from raising the threshold too much higher than needed.

Another question I just thought of: the toilet flange will likely be 1/2" lower than new...

Marble Threshold

I'm going to install some porcelain floor tile this weekend and wanted to know if I need/should install Hardibacker in the area in the door where the marble threshold will go or ok to place it...
