I've heard that they are working on improving their current saw and/or coming out with a newer bigger one. But I'm pretty sure it's a ways off. Probably still in planning stages now.

You don't want the tub lip out past the board. Flush is fine, though. And I would just lap the waterproofing over the tub lip. That will accomplish the same thin as the Z metal.
