Epoxy grouting with two different colors

I'm looking for some tips regarding grouting wall tile with two different colors of epoxy grout.

The field tile is a 12x24 porcelain tile and it's grout color is Harvest (Mapei).

A larger trowel for the field tile (3x3 mosaics) is not really an option due to thinset coming through the joints when you beat it in. Or at least in my experience anyway.

I use coffee cans as well. I only use spacers on the walls and never leave them in. I like to reuse them and don't like anything in the joint besides grout.....it's hard enough getting dried...
