Hello all,

I just was interested in knowing how Bush's trip to Iraq was perceived by all you witty and insightful individuals.

What else is happening?

Jeremy,

I have somewhat seriously googled Bu but have found nothing in English, what say you?

Best regards, Steven

His trip was a nice venture. I'm glad he was there to bolster the moral of our guys & gals forced to fight his little war.
I'd sure like to see him figure out a way to bring ALL those boys & girls home in the near future.

Pardon the cynic in me....... nice gesture for the troops and the cameras but how often will the trip be peddled during the impending white house re-run?

Oh and how much did the tax payer stump up for it?

Steven

I raised Bu with our priest and he was not surprised. gave me a little background that I had not heard previously.

Mo's grandad and pa were the christian priests in charge of what is now called the Kaba, being a temple at the center of a trading post. Mo was a shoo-in for the post, given that it was hereditary.

Bu was the priest designated by grandad and pa to educate wee Mo, only later was Bu defrocked as a heretic, by which time his heresy was already deeply implanted.

Mo remained in Bu's sway and influence and it was Bu who accompanied Mo on his various trips and caravanserai and as his aide and accomplice for his various "miracles".

There is always a certain amount of political motivation behind anything a politician does.

However our Presidents have a tradition of visiting troops in the field going all the way back to Lincoln.

I don't care how his visit is percieved those troops were thrilled to see him there.

The Queen, Gob Bless her actually costs the tax payer nothing, which is why she is so good at doing it.

The "Civil List" is the annual budget that the Government sets aside for the expenses to be defrayed against the official duties of the House of Windsor. Afetr something of a velvet mumbling, as against revolution, the queen elected to contribute to the Exchequer (treasury) an amount equal to the annual sums alloted to her.

I am not knocking Dubya for the trip or the effect it had on morale.

Elizabeth R and the rest of the Windsors have a well known horror of trusting themselves to the gentle touches of US intelligence agencies in hostile territories, with good reason.

The White House Press Corps displays a deal more collective responsibility toward the well being of the person on whom they report than the jackals that hound the House of Windsor on behalf of the Tabloids.

It's no secret I'm not a Bush fan, but Dubya did a pretty good thing the other day. Of course, it's going to bolster his popularity. He's a politition, and that's what they thrive on. And, it probably didn't cost us anymore than it does to have him sitting at his ranch. He's a high-maintenance dude to begin with. :D

So are you saying that Islam is an offshoot of Christianity? I've never looked into it.

Edited to say I can't believe the way I spelled politician. I'm going to leave it there as a reminder. :D

Would that I had the time to elaborate how Islam derived its base and the heresy upon which it is based. For example, the trickery and evil employed to prove the Mo was the prophet predited in the Bible. I fear the talibani that monitor thas end would shut me and thee down tout suit mon cher.

From my little bit of knowledge (very little) Islam is based on both the old and new testament plus Mohammed's own teachings. Islam shares much with the old testament, IE Abraham /Ibraham and they acknowledge Jesus as being a good man perhaps even a prophet but not the son of God. How did the fanatics on both sides get us so far apart? Allah, Jehova, God same entity.

All corrections welcome.

Ya mean performing every day and keep a smile pasted on despite the shenanigans of her kin and offspring doesn't warrant reward?
