Looking at sealants for a stone/glass mosiac & grout and have gotten two different recommendations (shocking, I know).

First is this one for $33 a pint: Superior Premium Gold Travertine & Sandstone (http://www.tile-guard.com/Product-Information/Natural-Stone-Premium-Sealer-Quart)

Second is this one for $29 a quart: Tile Guard (http://www.tile-guard.com/Product-Information/Natural-Stone-Premium-Sealer-Quart).

Someone told me I would have enough, with the pint, to do two coats of the tile, then grout and have enough left over for one more coat on my 26sq-ft backsplash job. Think that's true? If so then it probably doesn't matter. Is there going to be a noticable difference between the two? Both say they don't change the shade. I am hoping with both, since I am doing this on a 12" sheet that has both glass and stone, I can just wipe it off the glass pieces immediately.

Thanks in advance all.

Andrew

I can tell you i have personally used those sealers just to test them on a granite counter and a ceramic kneewall.I used multiple coats and they aren't much better than water,i was dismayed.I would go with an Aqaumix, or Miracle penetrating sealer.

Like Dave says, if you can't afford some really good sealer then save your money. Those products are truly worthless. Mine as well throw your money out a window.
