Didn't they change the dates? My pre-programed clock jumped back by itself a week or two back. I was lucky to catch it.

Yep, think it is just Hawaii and Arizona that are holdouts now (and a few of the territories). :)

Brad, I love that!
I don't mind the clock going back, but going forward in the spring really is a bummer :(

I agree LG!
Though this fall back will be a bummer as I'm not quite sure if my little 7 mo. old Abi got the memo about sleeping in an extra hour. ;)

Brad, I love that!
Ditto :)
Time change helps out a lot in this area. If we didn't, some of the kids would be standing out in the dark waiting for the school bus, which is kind of dangerous. I don't care much for it getting dark soon after five in the evening, though.
Last year (I think) they switched the time changes by a couple of weeks. It messed up computers and other things that did the time changes automatically and were pre-programmed to change on a certain date. So, they changed automatically, we had to set them correctly, then had to reset them again a couple of weeks later. I think most of that's been corrected now, but there may be a few things that have to be fixed.

Marge,
I relinquished much of my control when I said "I do".
The rest of it went when she came into the world. What can I say? I'm a slave to the ladies! :D

Whenever Daddy finally downloads and arranges the 400 or so pichers he has of his little girl, he will post some on this site. :)

I think the two hour difference all along that border would be overly burdensome for the people who live there. Well.....except for Tejas, I mean, who really cares about Tejas anyhoo? :D
I say we keep the time zones where they are, and stay on DST year around. :tup2:

I wouldn't want to be near that 2-hour line either. I presume it was drawn to avoid populous areas. Then again, it saws South Dakota in half, and appears to run very near the capital city of Pierre.
EDIT: Well, I see that Pierre has a population of just over 13,000, so screw 'em.:)

I would like the "fall back" to happen on Monday morn, so we get the extra hour on a work day. Then the "fall forward" could happen on a Saturday morning to recover.

My pre-programed clock jumped back by itself a week or two back.On my Palm the clock shows local (Phoenix) time, along with time in Dallas and NYC just for reference. A few days ago I noticed that the other two cities had already jumped to standard time. I'm wondering if the algorithm doesn't have a bug and got cornfused by Oct ending on Saturday, so it thought the last weekend was last weekend. Unfortunately I don't recall checking the week before so I can't say for sure.
I grew up in DST states, and lived in Michigan where it's still light at 9:30 or so. Great for playing softball, but not if you had to be in bed for an early wakeup.

That tiny 'sawed off portion' of Texas is just the area surrounding El Paso.

A few days ago I noticed that the other two cities had already jumped to standard time.Someone in their (outa their) mind changed the start and stop dates for Daylight Savings Time (how can you save daylight) a couple of years back, your Palm may need a software update.
Then again We're on Arizona Time, forget about the rest of the country that couldn't figure out how to get up an hour earlier to take advantage of the earlier sun rising so we could have more sunlight in the evening...
Thank God (or whatever other Diety that you worship) that Barry Goldwater said, no we are not going to go to daylight savings time...

To Opie...and you don't understand why you spend so many nights on the couch?????
It's not even 8:30 here and my body is ready for sleepy-bye. I might just have to have a little chocolate maritini to help me hit the hay and stay there. I usually hit the deck at 5:15 AM so I figure I'll be up just past 4AM.

your Palm may need a software update.that occurred to me, too, rancher, but I'm pretty sure I recall running an update right before they changed the timing of the change. OTOH, it's entirely possible I had to do a reset along the way and coulda lost it.
