As many of you know when Bobby and I left Anderson Wednesday morning we headed up the road to Asheville so that he could hook up with a few friends for some mountain biking. We met up with his riding buddies for dinner Thursday night. The dinner conversation turned to what I had been doing on Monday and Tuesday and how I ended up there.

I said that I had been invited because I was a regular on the John Bridge Tile Forum. One of the guys, Chris, says, "A few years ago I found a great tile forum while I was putting in a glass block shower. Those people we're great. I bought a book and the work in it was just amazing. Then I emailed that man and he responded right away and I got a lot of help from others as well. Have you ever heard of the Tile Your World Forum?"

Needless to say my jaw dropped. I informed him that it was the same forum. I guess there are only 6 degrees even in the tile world.

When I relocated from California to Seattle I had two similar experiences. One was a friend-of-a-friend who had learned to install his own bathroom floor by reading this forum. Another was my cousin and his wife, who didn't realize that I was the same "Shaughnn" from this forum. I said, "Really???"
