colours are dull except when wet when it's beautiful. it's really old 100 years + don't know how it has been treated in past any advice on how to treat it do I need to clean it with chemicals? should I use linseed oil and wax to seal it? Thanks

Hello Angela..

When you wet the tiles does it just give a wet look or does the tile actually darken..?...

You're gonna have to give us way more info Angela,but my guess is the current sealer is still on it,or whatever finish it has,that's why it looks good wet,so it would be sritical to see the tile/or know what is currently on it to advise how to take care of it,as different sealers/waxes tend to not gel with one another.
