Gundlach GS02 grout sealer

Has anyone ever used this product? A tile store manager told me yesterday that it is a far better sealer than any of the competitors. Also claimed that it is good for 20 years, which I find hard to believe.

When these manufacturers claim 15 to 20 years, what they don't tell you is that it might last that long if you put it somewhere and lock the door and never allow traffic on it or any cleaning of any kind. I am always leery of these claims.

I don't like aerosol grout sealers - period. I think they were invented for lazy people that don't want to do it the right way. One good thing about this product is that it is hydrophobic and oleophobic. (common in solvent based sealers). So if it gets in the grout line in enough concentration, it will probably protect fairly well - I said IF!

Also, since it is aerosol and solvent based - i don't like that combo! I think i would avoid using it without a good respirator.
