hello, gents
seeing how tile experts is a recommended vendor here. i am asking for experiences.
i ordered from them monday night. hoping/expecting to get my stuff by friday.
figuring 3 days shipping, no problem. turns out, they didn't even ship it until today. 2 days to get it out the door ? :complain: that leaves 2 days shipping :twitch:
Pretty unusual, Jesse. Did you order something that was not in stock? Shipping is nearly always same day, next day at the latest.
I'll make a query on your behalf. :)

Hi Jesse,
This all comes back to the Schluter policy of no drop-shipping. We weren't affected by their policy directly, since we stock most of the items (excluding profiles/tile trim) all of the time.
The problem was that the other companies (both internet and brick-and-mortar) which didn't stock the product no longer have (or have limited access to) Schluter's product line and couldn't supply their customers. Those customers, in turn, ordered from us because they knew we stocked it. It was like an avalanche on our stock and we were wiped out of most things. I remember coming in on Friday morning and seeing one drain (instead of over 100) on the shelf and no Kerdi or Ditra where usually we're to the roof with them.
Things are better this week, though. We're back up to stock levels on all of the drains, Kerdi and Ditra. Your order went out today and you will see it on Friday. Actually, you should be receiving tracking information from FedEx in a few minutes.
My apologies for the delay; to you and to everyone else affected.

oh. sorry to bother, while working on truck. idk how you guys can have 24 advice line. that is over the top :clap1:
David usually delivers my orders in the middle of the night, within 24 hours of ordering...but I am a lot closer than Chicago.:)
If its in stock, its shipped out right away.
Jesse, We have all been screwed by Fed-ex ground at one time or another. They have gotten a lot better, and they are on time lately. You should get your order as expected on Friday. You know that they deliver on Saturdays too, where UPS does not.
