Having a fire in a fireplace will be most likely illegal too!
How much of our Liberty can this govt. take from us.

It is incredible. There was a town that tried to implement this same thing, they even wanted to check the efficiency of your appliances. We are truly doomed, vote them out!

The bill states every home owner will receive an energy audit. What is a home energy audit? It is an intrusive visit made by the bureaucrats at the Home Energy Team or a similar group. They will examine and report the way you live your life directly to RESNET (Residential Energy Services Network) . Light fixtures, socket types, spas, hot tubs, windows, appliances, walls and roofs will all be under review. Energy tests will be conducted throughout your house. At the end of the visit you will receive a report and a rating
Oh come on! This is just a crock of crap! Do you realize what a program like this would cost? Besides that, how long would it take to hit every home in America?
I'm just not buying it... Sorry.. Nope...

Socialism here we come!
I even heard there is gonna be a shower Nazi where you can only take 3 minute showers and anything beyond you will have to pay a tax.
Bin Laden is on a beach somewhere with his buddies because B.O. and the rest of those idiots are gonna destroy this country for them...................

At first I thought you were referring to the new "green appraisal" rules for home sales and financing. I had not seen this. But I suspect not a lot of folks who voted for it saw it, either - nobody had a copy at the time of the vote.
The scary part is that it's just the tip of the iceberg. Obama is even more of a big-government control freak than I thought possible. I suspect there's a lot more of this buried in the bill. And just wait until he gets control of your healthcare.
The really amazing thing to behold? I still see see Liberals complaining about Bush reading a few e-mails. :lol1:

Ben, if even half of my predictions bear out we are in for a pretty rough ride.
The good news is that I don't think this will pass the Senate. Reid has pretty much admitted that he doesn't have anywhere near the 60 he needs.
The bad news is I think the noise around Cap 'n Tax is an intentional distraction from the real danger - the healthcare bill. The Dems plan to use a seldom-used procedural technicality called "reconciliation" to bypass the filibuster rule. That means they need just a simple majority - and don't forget they have Biden in reserve for tie-breaker.
And here's the thing about Cap and Tax - we can cancel every bit of it with one election. In one sense the "energy police" would be the best thing to happen to the GOP since LBJ. I actually hope they try it.
The danger in Obama's healthcare plan is specifically the so-called "public option." That is simply political code-speak for a plan to destroy the private sector insurance industry. Once private insurance is gone we will not be able to turn back the clock. Don't believe this is the intent? Maybe you should listen to Democrat Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (IL) (http://rossputin.com/blog/index.php/democrat-admits-public-plan-intended-to).
Scary times indeed.

RESNET will perform the audits through authorized contractors.
I understand you get a free pair of jackboots if you go through their certification program. So if work's been slow as a tile contractor maybe one should think about expanding one's horizon.

Maybe RESNET will be staffed by the peeps who did not quite make it through the door at ACORN?
As far as being cost prohibitive and labor intensive - is that not why The Big Spender signs anything into law these days? His voters need work and money is just that green stuff us (yes, meaning you too, gueuze :D )rich people have too much of, right?
