I was coming here to post this news :(

It's so sad, and really got to me because my sister died this past December 16th from colon cancer. She was only 42.

RIP Farrah.

62 is definitely too young, let alone 42. :(

RIP Farrah.

You have my deepest sympathies Eli. :(

Thanks Greg. Losing a sibling is super difficult. I watched her wither away, and found myself following Farrah's fight as well. I wouldn't want either of them back to suffer like that. They're both at peace now.

Cancer is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy!

the sad thing to it also is that news just came out 3 days ago that
Ryan O'Neal was going to finally marry her:

Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal to Wed
Monday June 22, 2009

Ryan O'Neal says he and longtime love Farrah Fawcett are tying the knot.

"I've asked her to marry me, again, and she's agreed," O'Neal, 68, tells Barbara Walters in an exclusive interview on ABC's 20/20, airing Friday, June 26.

O'Neal says the 62-year-old Fawcett - who was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006 - is now "fighting for her life."

Have any of you watched the Farrah documentary?? It put a human face on someone I only knew as a Hollywood celebrity. She seemed like a warm and extremely brave women. Very sad to hear that she lost her fight.

Wow! What a shocking day. I grew up glued to watch Farrah's smoking-hot self. She was surely a pleasure. She was Leigh Majors Girl in the "6 Million Dollar Man" wasn't she?

Did anyone see her on Letterman when she was so goofy?

I remember her in Charlie's Angels mostly, and 6 Million Dollar man.

Hadn't followed too much about her life until I heard she had "anal" cancer.

What Is Anal Cancer?

Anal cancer is a rare malignancy that starts in the anus -- the opening at the end of the rectum.

The American Cancer Society estimates that 5,290 new cases of anal cancer will be diagnosed in the U.S in 2009 and that 710 people in the U.S. will die from the disease this year.

For comparison, the American Cancer Society predicts 40,870 new cases of rectal cancer and 106,100 new cases of colon cancer in the U.S. in 2009.

Well I was in love with Farrah Fawcett when I was a kid like every other kid from back in the day. You young guys will never know what it was like back then. Before cable TV and a thousand channels. You guys wouldn't believe it but the five TV channels there were back then use to sign off the air at night. Different time......but I digress....

Charlie's Angels was great. Every guy I knew had the poster .

RIP Farrah.

I will just add this to what has been said.......F F was always a good sport and appeared to be a genuine lady. From her television series work to on camera interviews I never saw or heard anything that caused me to believe otherwise. Yes, she seemed a little "goofy" as someone mentioned during a late night appearance on 'Letterman', but I attribute that to her medical problems and ongoing treatment. I am saddened by her passing and I will miss her.
