:wave:It's been a while, so I thought I would just drop by and see how all of you guys (gals) were gettting along. Can't seem to remember the last time I was here. It has been said that the memory is the second thing to go....can't remember what the first thing was.:D

I notice quite a few familiar folks in the cast of characters that make up JB's highly acclaimed forums. Lot's of new faces here too. (At least new to me :)) In any event, it will be nice to get back in touch with old contacts and open some new dialogue.

What has been happening around here---How is everyone??

Wow, the History forum has just about disappeared!! I leave for a few days and just look what happens! Who is in charge around here anyway?:complain:

Hello Howard,
Nice to meet you (unless we've met before, I can't disremember). :D

Love the user name and avatar, my favorite book, and author of all time. :)

Thanks for the greetings all.....Everything here is about the same. Nothing much has changed, just repackaged to look different.

I suffered a bad fall about a year ago....twelve feet onto concrete. Two surgeries and eight months of therapy later I have mostly recovered....Still can't work though. It is not the fall that bothers you..it is the sudden stop. Oh well, it will work out.

JB..Yes, it has been a while. This forced "vacation" has caused (allowed?) me the time to ponder the inevitability of increasing age. I am considering revisiting Mr. de Leon's quest. ;) I see you are once again out on a "Walk About." Except no shoe leather involved, eh!! Have a great trip. On my next trip to the left coast I am going to stop in Tejas. I will call you.

Davy..Thanks. :yeah: Now you know I don't "chew"!! I just encourage thoughtful discourse.

tilerite..No need to feel fretful. There are several of us here from the "Old North State." (Or at least there used to be..??) I am in the center of the state (near the state zoo).

HS345...Thanks. As they say down here---Back atcha. JRR Tolkein is one of my favorites too. There are several threads around here from years back discussing books, authors, etc. One in which JB actually announced that he was finally starting to read Tolkein. I never heard any more, so don't know how he progressed. Interesting story about the avatar. Someone here on the forum found it for me. One of the gals I think (maybe Cami??...or LG??...or someone ??) We used to have a nurse around here (along with our Engineers, Doctors, Lawyers, and Indian Chiefs), might have been her. Can't remember her user name... I can't remember... As you can tell, I seem to have a bad case of CRS.

So, someone tell me what has happened with the History Forum. There has been like a maybe a dozen or so posts (I did not really count) in the past year! We used to have that many each day!! JB, you're the resident historian, take care of this!!

MM.....Yeah, I know! I hate it when it does that!

No one person should ever have enough free time to read.:D

Owl's are just fine. :)

Last time I used my fly pole, it worked just fine, too. Fish could use a little work on their end, but my fly rod did quite well, thanks. :)
