I share your sentiments. Was only about 4 years ago I had to abandon OS2 for lack of support. It sure was fun running windows in a window, however!
I used to know puters in and out with 5 languages under my belt but mostly that was prior to or just post GUI popularity. Don't have time to learn another, tho' seems I'm familiar with Linux to some degree, is it an offspring of Unix?
Yup, I am not all that famialer with it as I want to mainly coz last time I kad I could not go online because I will not work with a 'winmodem', it needs to be able to talk to the modem. now woth cable it should not be a problem.
Well it up and running, all is good so far cept my Video card is stuck on PCI instead of AGP and my sound don't work(phillips card).
My new browser is called Konquerer..think I'll trade it in for Netscape though

Netscape is still my choice, but I do keep a copy of IE on the desktop. However, Net-6.0 isn't recognized by a lot of secure sites, my bank included. 4.5 still great.
Linux Netscape suxors, it looks like netscape 1.0 or something. Mozzila is another open source Netscape clone for linux and is much moreer betterer..

Yeah, I've had a look at Moz at a friends place. My host uses it as well. Still, most of the stuff has gotten a bit deep for me, seems I got into working for a living and quit progressing with the IT and software/firmware fields. Don't know why, it's all still DOS, based on 64K. Ho-hum... still like the idea of running little billy's ripped off shell in a window. Hell wasn't just a bit ago I was still running DR-DOS with an implementer called 4-DOS. Talk about flying out the window with windows!!! Damned software was telling me I was dead! It's particularly cute how billy launches his world empowered wealth with a batch file, haha. If I could put a ROFLMAO thingy here I would.

Oh, sorry.
Double techo, double decker, ham swiss butterleaf and rye with a side of spicy mustad and jalapeno, double decker...second floor, man I'm wierd...
I guess to get the thingies, animated gize, I'd have to log on to a site (described in the page) and make 'em available to this site as well. Oh well. Lots a fun to me. I like lookin'. most of you are very creative! Have you written any code to produce these animations yourself? That would be a trip.
