I am looking to replace my old Uniden cordelss phone. I googled some panasonics and found a set that would fit my needs. I want one with a dual key dialing in both the base an handsets. I found one that fit my needs perfectly and everytime I clicked, they were being discontinued, or very expensive. It is one of those new 6.0 panasonics. Do any of you have any suggestens of what you have and like about it? Regards,

I've had pretty good luck with the Vtech 6042...includes two cordless handsets and a base station with digital answering machine. It is a DECT 6.0 unit...pretty decent. Works well with my VoIP phone line too.
Cheers.

:tup1: Hit the nail on the head. We have four of them in the house. Best phones we ever had. I think I could walk around the block with them without them losing service.

Just retired all my 2.4 ghz. phones, upgraded to 6.0 dect phones, these http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-KX-TG9345PK-Expandable-All-Digital-Answering/dp/B0018LRLBG/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/188-5032843-5090250?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1236883301&sr=8-1. (since the new GUI for the website I can't hyperlink a word phrase for the website like I used to be able to) ???
didn't pay anywhere near that though, got em at Costco for $100 bucks.
Does anyone with the new 6.0 dect phones have any problems with their wireless routers interfering. Was told that 6.0 phones operate on the 2.0ghz frequency. Most wireless routers are on the 2.4 ghz freq. That's why the 2.4 phones are on ebay now. just curious.

Hi Tim,
Type whatever you need for the link text and then highlight it before clicking on the insert link icon. One of the changes from the recent upgrade. :D

I went for a short ride last weekend when the temp got above 50 degrees. Then we got another 5 inches of snow. Can't wait for Spring to really get here.

still using my 2.4 Uniden phones and they work fine. No interference with the wireless. Using them on Comcast phone and the voicemail light I never knew I had is now operational.
Whatever you get definitely look at Costco. :tup1:
