For those folks that like to carry books around to read whenever the mood strikes, Amazon offers the Kindle, an electronic book reader. Its pretty neat but also pricey. I noticed today that you can use your iPhone or iTouch to do much the same thing, just download the app from the App store on your iPhone/iTouch.

Amazon has plenty of public domain (free) books to download in case you don't want to spend a fortune. Reading on the iPhone/iTouch is actually not too bad. What is really cool is the fact that you can download a whole library full of reading material and carry it with you in one very slim device. :tup1:

Not a big reader myself, but I would think the words would be real tiny or you would spend all of your time scrolling down to get the next four words.

Its actually not bad at all. This pic shows the medium font size, it can be made larger or smaller with a quick setting change. No scrolling down, just a quick finger flick to the left and it advances to the next page.

Wow that is cool. Better not let my lady see that or I'll be buying new phones that we really don't need.

I wish I had the iPhone but AT&T coverage where I live is abysmal. That is a picture of my iTouch, got it for free when I evaluated an email archiving appliance. :D I like free.

Oh, that is a page from Treasure Island in the picture, in case anybody was wondering. ;)
