Hi Dave and welcome, plenty of fat to chew on here, come on in.:)
Welcome aboard, Dave. :)
Word of caution: We got a lot of Daves hereabouts, don't take offence at nothin' 'till you're sure we're pickin' on you, eh? :D
C'mon, Davy, some of us only chew good lean. Why doncha move us over to the Mud Box so we can play rough and talk dirty?

My family was from Monahan, Ireland. Came to California in 1848, struck in rich in the gold fields of Northern California, came back to Monahan, married his sweeheart, and moved to USA where he bought some great bottom land and became a wealthy farmer.
And here I am in Los Angeles.

Hi Dave, welcome. My family is from Limerick. I'm first generation here.
Would you please tell these idjits that St Brendan the Boisterous ( Ireland's most famous and fearless navigator, explorer and crusader) is not a figment of my imagination? :D
Eventually we will get to some tile talk. For now the basic rule we all follow here is shiny side up.:p

So it's an infidel I am now, is it? An' me being damned close to bein' an Irishman, I am. An' isn't me middle name Patrick, I ask ya? Sure an' it is. An' isn't that an Irish name? Sure an' it is.
:)
Well, now that you mention it, me own name is Kelly, it is. And that's an Irish name to be sure, it is. :)
And I ain't never in me life heard of no Boisterous Brandon, or whatever you be callin' hisownself. :shades:

My mom was born in County Cork yet I've never heard of this navigator:confused:
Perhaps you need to be at least 51% Irish to hear his tale. All's I know is that they never told me just how bad a green beer hangover could be:D

Well if you're half Scotch...I hope it's the exspensive kind! Guess that beats bein' half Beer or Vodka now doesn't it! ;)

I think it's time to start a forum about St brendan the Boisterous. After all John has a forum to save Mt houston (and St Brendan discovered it) plus John has a thread for his Alma Mater, Mosquito H.S.
I think it's an idea who's time has come. When folks like Steve with his Irish Heritage admit they never heard of St Brendan the Boisterous it's time to act.:p
Uh, flatfloor?
John also has a web site. :nya:

Dave,
Come round any old time, make yourself at home,
Put your feet on the mantle shelf,
Open the cupboard and help yourself.
Part of a song from child hood days, that's all I can remember
Derek one half of, :D

Now isn't that typical of a Limey song? Doesn't even rhyme! Not at all like Row, Row, Row Your Boat.
